The top MCM finisher was Jordan Tropf, 27, from Silver Spring, MD. Tropf completed the marathon with a time of 2:27:43, shaving 9 minutes and 32 seconds off his 2011 time. “Funny Runner” Brittany Charboneau, 31, crossed the finish line as the first place MCM female with a time of 2:44.47.
World-renowned ultra marathoner Michael Wardian took the top spot for the inaugural MCM50K with a 3:11:52 finish. Liz Ozeki of Rockville, MD was the top 50K female with a finish time of 3:42:04.
William Gardner broke the ribbon for the MCM10K at 34:08. Hannah Krumreich of Vienna, VA was the first female, finishing in 38:50.

Notable 44th MCM finishers include Gen. David H. Berger, 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps (5:29:38); Gen. (ret) Joseph F. Dunford, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (4:45:00); West Virginia Senator, Shelley Capito (6:45:56); New Mexico Congresswoman Deborah Haaland (6:06:01); and Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer (5:20:40).
Season 14 American Idol runner up Clark Beckham was the 44th MCM National Anthem singer. He finished with a time of 3:45:58. Dean Karnazes, best selling author and ultra marathoner, finished the MCM50K in 5:38:14. Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black, 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, finished the MCM10K in 01:01:01.

Runners who have successfully completed at least five MCMs are eligible to
join the MCM Runners Club
. This exclusive group of motivated marathoners receives guaranteed annual access to MCM registration during a designated period eliminating any Lottery uncertainty. Newly eligible runners, who recently earned their fifth MCM (or 50K) finish, can join now that results have been made official. Only those runners who join before February 21 are eligible for access to the 2020 MCM.

To celebrate the 45th MCM, the registration fee has been reduced by 4.5% over the 2019 cost from $180 to $171.90. Active Duty military registrants will receive an additional discount during the Active Duty registration period. The MCM50K, MCM10K and Kids Race costs will remain the same as 2019 prices.
Breaking with tradition, the MCM announced that the 2020 finisher’s medal will feature actual volcanic ash, often referred to as black sand from the island of Iwo Jima. 2020 MCM registration dates include:

Medal of Honor 8K
happens on December 7 and features a run on the greens of Quantico’s Medal of Honor golf course. All participants receive a limited edition scarf. Finishers earn a commemorative ornament.
