Registered MCM and MCM10K runners may transfer an entry from July 11 through August 31 to a non-registered runner. Procedures, deadlines and fees are detailed on the MCM Transfer Page. Make a connection with hopeful runners on the MCM Facebook page. Transfers keep information accurate and avoid compromising the safety of others. Don’t swap bibs.
Unable to participate in this year’s MCM after all? The MCM has you covered like no other marathon. You can push your entry to 2019 through the MCM Deferment Program opening on August 15.
Enjoy special rates on hotels close to the MCM. Stay at the headquarters hotel, the Gaylord National Resort at National Harbor, or in Arlington, close to the MCM start. MCM shuttle services will run from National Harbor and Crystal City to the start free of charge.
Training Runs
Train with your fellow MCM runners. Get important intel on preparing for and finishing the MCM from MedStar Sports Medicine. MedStar and Pacers Running host four special MCM Training Programs. The program debuts in July with training dates on August 16, September 20 and October 18.

The best pasta dinner in the marathon world. On MCM-eve, enjoy a carb- load buffet dinner with USMC ceremonies, live entertainment and guest speakers Kathrine Switzer and Roger Robinson. Celebrate the thrill of accomplishment and be energized by the fun with fellow finishers at the MCM Victory Party on Sunday, October 28 at 7 p.m. after the MCM. Bring family, friends and supporters to the Gaylord National Resort for a well-deserved post-marathon bash featuring a wildly entertaining DJ, an indulgent menu with pizza and carving stations, prizes, selfie worthy photo ops and a cash bar. Challenges traveling to the nation’s capital before MCM? Skip the stress and opt-in to the Bib Mail-Out program, available for MCM and MCM10K participants in limited quantities. For a $30 fee, runners may choose to have the bib mailed to their home in advance of MCM weekend.
