The
44th Marine Corps Marathon
will take place on Oct. 27 in Arlington, VA and the nation’s capital. This annual event hosts 30,000 runners and more than 150,000 spectators. Entries are $180 plus a processing fee and are available to runners age 14-and-older.

Runners have the opportunity to register and
secure a spot in the 44th MCM
prior to the Lottery. Rush Registration begins at noon eastern on March 19 and will close at 12:20 p.m.
OR
as soon as 7,000 runners have registered. Achieving this registration plateau would prompt Rush Registration to close prior to the planned 20-minute duration.

Runners may declare their intent to run the MCM by signing up for the
Lottery
from noon on March 20 to noon on March 26. All registered runners will be notified of their status by email on March 27. There are no fees associated with entering the Lottery. Charges will only be incurred should the runner officially be registered for the event. Please make sure credit card information entered during the Lottery is current.

Runners may purchase items during registration including tickets to the
Carbo Dining In
, the popular MCM pasta party; special photo package from MarathonFoto; personalized finisher medal ribbon hanger from iTab; MCM Brooks training apparel; RunCoach training program; and more. No charges will be incurred during the Lottery. Transactions will only be executed if a runner is officially registered for the event.

A limited amount of
Four Star packages
remain available. This bundled all-inclusive registration package features an option for one or two MCM entries; hotel stay at the Gaylord National Resort of two or three nights; event tickets including a private reception and the Carbo Dining-In; pre-event shuttle transportation; event day hospitality; and more.

The
MCM10K
and
MCM Kids Run
open registration on April 24. The 6.2 mile run from the National Mall to the Marine Corps War Memorial is held the same day as the MCM, October 27. The
MCM10K
features a scenic course and an original, amazing medal. The
MCM Kids Run
is open to young runners ages 5-12 and happens on the day prior to the MCM, October 26. The one mile run around the Pentagon parking lot include a family festival, hospitality for all runners, finisher medals, Tshirts and tons of mascots. The 10K registration is $60; the Kids Run costs $10 plus processing.

Active Duty and Active Reserve
members of the military can register early for the MCM and save more than 15 percent thanks to
GEICO
, proud sponsor of the MCM. This opportunity is open until midnight on March 11. While the MCM appreciates everyone who previously served our country and the military families of those currently in service, this special program exists as a special offer only for individuals currently serving on Active Duty and as an Active Reservist.

Annually, the MCM partners with numerous charitable organizations, who obtain blocks of entries to the marathon. Runners may choose to dedicate their MCM participation to a cause by raising funds and awareness for a specific organization. Causes range from military to health-related to individual welfare to international efforts. A list of organizations participating in this program will be posted on the
MCM website
following the Lottery on March 27.

features more than 20 wild fitness pursuits, messy mud pits and authentic down-and-dirty Marine Corps PT experiences. Go hard corps-style with running buddies or bring the family for a memorable experience. All finishers earn a coin. Registration is $45 plus processing.

commemorates that battle with a 4.97 mile run through the woods of Marine Corps Base Quantico on June 15. Finishers earn a special medal. Registration is $45. Sign up for the

for $75 and participate in both, the 8K and Run Amuck, to earn a challenge medal. On the eve of the event, June 14, runners and guests can purchase tickets to the

Recon Ruck
sends participants into Quantico's hills, trails and roadways for a 12-mile journey while wearing a weighted pack on June 15. Finishers earn a ruck patch. Registration is $45 plus processing. Sign up for the
