This past Saturday, our MCMS Robotics Teams Competed at the Regional Tournament at Middle Ga State University. This year the Middle school has two teams, the Robo Dawgs (6th Grade) & the Cargo Canines (7th/ 8th Grade).
This year's FLL Mission is Cargo Connect. Teams were asked to Innovate a method of handling and delivering cargo. Teams had to present their Innovation Project, Robot Design, and Core Values to a panel of Judges. The fourth category students competed in was Robot Performance, where they had to write programs for their robots to complete successful missions on a table with interactive parts.
The Robo Dawgs were awarded a trophy for their Core Values Presentation.
The Cargo Canines placed First in Robot Performance (Table Missions) and were also crowned as 1 of 2 Grand Champions for the Region. The Cargo Canines will be moving on to Super Regionals at Robins Air Force Base in January.
