Pitches In

We were happy to welcome the staff of the Catholic Foundation in the Archdiocese, as they joined our volunteer team Tuesday morning in our pantry.

This detail oriented team of brainy professionals not only manages investments for our parishes, but they also manage to invest some of their time volunteering in our community.

Tuesday they helped sort incoming donations, stocked shelves, and put together several food boxes.

Pictured are Deacon Dan, Michael, Julie, and Michele, who certainly had way more fun here, compared to other Tuesdays in their boring office!

Volunteer Appreciation Week

Chelsea, our Volunteer and Staff Coordinator, outdid herself this week as we hosted our Volunteer Appreciation Days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

After inspirational reflective comments, led by MCO Executive Director Anni, our volunteers also participated in a short exercise of real life money decisions for a low income household. Nearly 100 of our wonderful volunteers enjoyed over an hour of fun, food, and even a raffle with some interesting "prizes"!

From the delicious burrito bowls to an elaborate charcuterie spread, our faithful past, current, and prospective volunteers were well fed. Special thanks to the teams of volunteers at St. Ludmilla and St. Pius who assisted Chelsea with some of the food preparation and delectable donations!
