SUMMER 2019
Summer greetings from the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund. Now in my sixth year as a member of the advisory board, I will be serving as president for the 2019-2020 term. I'm fortunate to have such a strong group of board members behind me in this journey armed with a robust set of goals to grow our endowment.
In June, our fund awarded an annual record of $23,325 in grants to nine local nonprofit organizations. These grants included two impact grants of $5,000 each to the Brunswick Educational Foundation and Feeding Medina County.
The Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund gained three new advisory board members. Join us in welcoming Joyce Fuerst, Carol Godard, and Beth Kereszturi to our fund.
Events
Local leaders gathered at Blue Heron Event Center to honor outstanding role models in Medina County during our second annual Seasons of Giving event on June 13. During the evening, our featured speaker and eight-time Emmy Award-winning news anchor, Romona Robinson, shared her personal and professional story of breaking barriers of race, gender and poverty. We thank everyone who attended Seasons of Giving.
