Maryland Vet Tech Students Seeking Assistance
On behalf of its student members, the Maryland Veterinary Technicians Association (MDVTA) is seeking large animal, equine, exotic, and lab animal practitioners who are willing to invite vet tech students to their practices to learn these species-specific skills required for graduation.

Unlike “brick and mortar” AVMA-accredited veterinary technology programs that have contracts with various practices or capabilities on campus for their students to accomplish their required skills learning, AVMA-accredited distance learning program students are left to set up their own externships and volunteer hours.

If you are interested and would like your practice contact information to be included in a resource document for MDVTA's student members in need, please contact marylandvettechs@gmail.com.

Thank you very much for your consideration in helping the future RVTs in Maryland!

Advocating for veterinarians, veterinary medicine, and animal health and welfare.
We need contributions from every veterinarian throughout the state to help us accomplish our legislative goals in Annapolis. Without a healthy PAC, the MDVMA will be limited in our ability to influence the legislative process.
The Maryland Veterinary Foundation's mission is to provide scholarships for deserving veterinary students.

How can you help?

  1. Memorials - donations from you in honor of your patients
  2. Put donation brochures in your office for clients to take
  3. Add a notation to your invoices about the Foundation
  4. Join Amazon Smile and a percentage of eligible purchases will be donated.
