Honors Program Kickoff

Last Thursday night was the annual 9th Grade Honors Program kickoff. Every student in the program was assigned a different ingredient to bring, to show that while they are good as individual ingredients, when combined together, they make an even better product, just like the program. Students, along with the program faculty, had the chance to bond and get to know each other while cooking, and all the food made was donated to the SBH Food Pantry!

Yachad Shabbaton

Last weekend was our annual Yachad Shabbaton, where members of Yachad joined our students for a meaningful, interactive weekend filled with bonding and fun. The program that Rabbi Ikey Tawil and Mrs. Lynn Keda put together included tefilot, games, and dancing. We can't wait for the next one!

Hands On Experimenting

Mrs. Betti Missry's 10th grade STEM students worked on projects, where they had to code, saw, drill, sand, solder  and glue!

Mr. Ricky Cohen's 10th grade chemistry class worked in the lab with Bunsen burners!

College Fair and NYU Power Lunch

Students and parents  came out last night for our College Fair, where they had the chance to meet representatives from schools they're interested in, as well as browse and learn more about other schools. Today we held an NYU Power Lunch, where interested students could come meet the rep in a more intimate setting!

Outside Connections

Learning isn't the only thing that doesn't stop when the bell rings. The bonds we make keep us tightly bound after our students graduate from our class and even our school. This week, the group of girls who used to spend a weekly lunch period with Rabbi Haber, met at his house to cook with his wife, Rebbetzin Marlene Haber. That same night, Mrs. Rachel Harari and her AP Language class from last year went for a reunion dinner.

GEMS Lunches

GEMS lunches began this week, where our girl got to spend the lunch period with their GEMS teacher to plan their upcoming activities!

CHAMPIONSHIP GAME TONIGHT!!
The MAGEN DAVID PRE-SEASON BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT concludes tonight where defending champs, Magen David Yeshivah High School Warriors, face off against the DRS Wildcats.

Game time is 7:30PM.

COME OUT TO SUPPORT YOUR TEAM!
