The American Diabetes Association has transformed this year’s Scientific Sessions from a live, in-person meeting to a virtual experience. A number of University of Michigan diabetes, obesity, metabolism, and complications community members will be presenting, highlighting some of the latest, cutting-edge advances in diabetes research, prevention, and care.
All sessions will be released during their original scheduled times. Afterwards, they will be available to view at any time. In addition, all registered attendees will receive unlimited access to all virtual content for 90 days after the meeting.

Jiandie Lin, PhD, the Bradley M. Patten Collegiate Professor of Life Sciences at U-M, will receive the Outstanding Scientific Achievement (“Lilly”) Award of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) on June 15, 2020. This award recognizes the independent accomplishments of the most outstanding young (<50 years old) diabetes researchers in the world, and we are thrilled that Dr. Lin’s ground-breaking work has been recognized in this manner. This brings the number of U-M Lilly award winners to three - more than any other institution.
