Who's ready for Fall?

Welcome Breakfast

Thank you to the Parent Association for hosting a fabulous "Welcome Breakfast"! We hope you had a great time meeting other families from your child's class and getting to hear about all the wonderful things the PA has planned for this school year.

MECE Night Out

Thank you to Stephanie Rasel for organizing our first MECE Night Out at Five Guys! Everyone had a great time seeing each other outside of school, and supporting our Parent Association at the same time.

Barnes and Noble Book Fair

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Book Fair! The teachers had a marvelous time reading to the children as well as getting some fabulous new books for their classrooms. We also got to hear from some additional special readers, two past MECE students!! Thank you Victoria Hanna for organizing this wonderful event.



Busy Bees Show


During "B week" everyone loved learning all about

bees from Science Eye!! We may have a few future Entomologists here at MECE!! The teachers were very brave too!!




FAU Game


Thank you to everyone who came out and waited out the rain delay to the FAU game to cheer on the Owls!!! We got to see a great game and the Owls WON!!!

Welcome to the Birthday Book Club!

Have you tried Lunch Bunch yet? Once the kids try it they usually want to do it all the time. There is no need to sign up in advance-just pack a lunch box and send it in. It is just $11 each time and your child will stay until 2 pm.


There are limited openings in Wiggle and Praise and Little Steamers. Contact us if you are interested in one. 


Be sure to label everything that comes into school, with your child's name. This include lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets or sweaters, etc.


Daddy drop off for Threes and Fours

On Wednesday, October 2 Dads in

Miss Romi, Miss Helene, Miss Sharon,

Miss Holli, Miss Gina, Miss Rachel and Miss Susan's classes are invited to do drop off and come in for a special time in the classroom. If dad cannot attend, then another special guest is welcome to attend.


Speech Screening

We are pleased to offer speech screenings Tuesday, Oct. 1.

We hope you take advantage of this free service being offered to our students.

Please let us know if you would like a screening form.


Bike, Walk to School Day

On Wednesday, October 9 MECE is taking part in the National Walk or Bike to school day. If you live close enough to do that please do. If not, we have made arrangements for families to park at the activity field at Mizner Park (next to the amphitheater). The bike or walk being sure to cross at the crosswalks. The church will be hosting a coffee and pastries get together for parent in the parking lot. It should be a very fun drop off carline!


Speech Workshop Tuesday, October 15 at 9:15 am in The Center Room

Nancy Magar, from Magar Myofunctional and Speech Services is offering this parent workshop on articulation and how it may be impacted by orofacial issues caused by pacifier use or finger sucking. Nancy is specially trained in support children and wants to share this useful information with you,


No Trash Snack challenge October 24 & 25 -

In an effort to reduce the amount of trash at snack time we challenge you to try to pack a snack in all reusable containers or in recyclable containers. Every child that is able to have a trash free snack on October 24 or 25th will receive a MECE snack bag.



Parent's Morning Out (PMO) is 9-noon for children ages 6 weeks-3 years. The cost is $30 and you can receive a $10 discount whenever you are at a MECE event (such as a Parent Association meeting). Sign-up through the FUMC website. They are often open when Palm Beach county schools, and MECE are closed. Click here to sign up. Contact Cathy for the $10 discount.

Contemporary worship is at 9:30 am in the Gathering Place. Sunday School is now offered for children ages 3 and up!

The purpose of the MECE Parent Association is to build a strong community among our pre-School and kindergarten parents; support the teachers and staff; and to raise funds to support the school. All parents of MECE students are members of the Parent Association. The MECE Parent Association plans numerous events and opportunities for parents to get involved and participate in the MECE Parent Association, thereby directly supporting the school and our children.

Book Fair


Thank you, Victoria Hanna, for a fantastic Book Fair! We'd also like to thank our volunteers, teacher readers and families for making the event a success! The teachers are also very appreciative to all who

purchased and sent books in to the classrooms. We hope everyone enjoyed “Falling into reading!”


Family Night Out


Thank you to everyone that came to Family Night Out at Five Guys! We made over $190 back to MECE!! Thank you to Stephanie Rasel for volunteering to plan our monthly Family Night Out!!

MECE Marketplace


Thank you, Amy Kurschner, for putting together a wonderful Marketplace. The vendors were very interesting and had many MECE families visiting their tables. We hope you enjoyed checking them out.


Parent Association Meeting


Thank you to everyone that came out to our first Parent Association meeting!! We filled every event chair and even have 2-3 leaders for some events! This year should be wonderful with so many amazing

families eager to jump in! A HUGE thank you to our PA Board and event chairs.


Join us Thursday, October 10th at 9:15am in the Center Room for our next Parent Association Meeting. We will be discussing Trunk or Treat, the Auction and doing a quick recap/review of previous events. Children are always welcome!


Trunk Or Treat


Nothing spooky here! Join us for some family fun trick or treating here at MECE on Saturday, October 26th at 4:30! Start dreaming up some simple or crazy trunk ideas!! More information will be coming home in

the backpacks soon.


Auction


We will be briefly discussing our auction at the October meeting. We are looking for many helpers to solicit businesses for auction items. Please email meceparents@gmail.com if this is something you would like to help with!
