Happy Easter

We hope you have a wonderful Easter with your family and you have a renewed spirit in your heart.

Thank you to Stephanie Rasel for organizing another Family Night out at Chipotle, and thank you to all the families that came out to support this fundraising event.

Police Safety Speech

Thank you to Officer Adam Glass and Officer Ryan Jenney from the Boca Raton Police department for coming out and teaching the children about car safety, what number to call in an emergency, bicycle safety, what the inside of a police car looks like and what to do if you get separated from your parents in a public place.

Dental Program

Thank you to Dr. Kelly Koscso (Penelope's mom) and Dr. Mariana Simoca (Natalia's mom) for doing an amazing presentation on dental health for our three and four year old students. We greatly appreciate that they shared their time with our students. Thank you for the wonderful treat bags too!!

World Down Syndrome Day

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st, students and teachers wore mismatched socks to help create awareness and inclusion.

WDSD is celebrated on 3/21 to represent the 3 copies of the 21st chromosome that cause Down Syndrome. This day is celebrated by wearing mismatched socks to showcase that people with DS are more alike than different.

MECE Sunday

The children did an absolutely fabulous job singing at MECE Sunday! The members of FUMC truly enjoyed hearing them and watching their enthusiasm as they sang.

Thank you Cindy Walls for providing our fun Sunday School activities and for the fellowship time (and cookies) on the lawn!

Sunday School is available every Sunday during the 9:30 service.

Parent Kindergarten Workshop

Thank you Stephanie Rasel for sharing your time and talent. Everyone had a wonderful time of discussion and sharing all the important information needed for child entering Kindergarten.

Take your valuables with you

Please make sure you take your valuables with you. Do not leave them in your car. Another local pre-school recently had a smash and grab while a parent was picking up their child.

Distracted Driving Information

The Palm Beach Health Department requires us to have parents sign a flyer regarding car safety two times annually. This is called the Distracted Driver brochure and is included in our newsletter each month. You will receive a separate email through the Procare app. I think it works best to "sign" on a computer. If you are unable to get it to work, then please hit reply and acknowledge receipt of this information when you receive that email.

Donating egg stuffers for Easter Egg Hunt

We are in need of egg stuffers-small toys, stickers, non melting wrapped candy, etc. The Parent Association will be stuffing eggs at the April 3 meeting. FUMC has many eggs so only the stuffers are needed.

Prepaid Lunch Bunch and Early Drop

begins on Monday, April 14. If you are signed up for automatic payments you do not have to pay in advance. Everyone else must reserve and pay in advance for Lunch Bunch and Early Drop through the end of the school year. You can sign up for Automatic Payments by emailing and indicating if you prefer ACH or credit card (fees apply).

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Wednesday, April 30th

Look for an email from Sign-up Genius to

sign-up for your meeting time. Be sure to find your child's teacher's name to sign up for the correct class. There is no school this day as all teachers are in conferences and assistants are babysitting during the conference. Be sure to allow time to shop the Marketplace.

Summer Camp

"Exploring God's World"

Camp Registration is open and filling up quickly! We have reached out capacity for Immunization Exemption.

June 16, June 23, July 7, and July 14

from 9 am -2 pm.

The registration fee is $50, tuition is $200 per week (must attend a minimum of two weeks if available).

Spots are filling up quickly.

We are in need of Youth Helpers for Summer Camp (ages 12-17). We also need substitutes for both camp and school year. Please let me us know if you or someone you know is interested.

The purpose of the MECE Parent Association is to build a strong community among our pre-School and kindergarten parents; support the teachers and staff; and to raise funds to support the school. All parents of MECE students are members of the Parent Association. The MECE Parent Association plans numerous events and opportunities for parents to get involved and participate in the MECE Parent Association, thereby directly supporting the school and our children.

Hello MECE Families!

As our year winds down, we want to thank everyone for their incredible support and help making this year a huge success for our MECE PA! We still have a few more events to look forward to! Please join us at our PA meeting on April 3rd at 9:15am. During the

meeting, we will be stuffing Easter eggs for the church’s upcoming egg hunt (always a fun time)!!

PA Board and Chairs

If you have any time to give, please consider taking a board position or chairing an event next year. MECE is a smaller school and our time here is often short (2-3 years). Many of our amazing volunteers are moving on next year. We need rising 3’s and 4’s

families to consider leadership!! Please email meceparents@gmail.com if you are

interested in being a PA board member or event chair next year.

MECE Marketplace

Spring MECE Marketplace will be held on conference day, Wednesday, April 30. Local vendors fill the ark and offer their goods and services to MECE families. Each vendor makes a donation and we raffle them off to lucky winners. If you have a business and

Teacher Appreciation Week:

We will be celebrating our amazing teachers and staff during MECE's Teacher Appreciation Week from April 28th to May 2nd. Each day will be filled with goodies as

we spoil our teachers and administrators! We will be sending home information, but we are asking for families to contribute $10, if it’s possible, towards the week's events. Also, please reach out to Kristen McElwee at khmcelwee@gmail.com if you have a

specific good or service you would like to donate to the MECE teachers and administrators. Look out for a flyer with details including a donation link coming soon!
