Who's ready for Fall?

Welcome Breakfast

Thank you to the Parent Association for hosting a fabulous "Welcome Breakfast"! We hope you had a great time meeting other families from your child's class and getting to hear about all the wonderful things the PA has planned for this school year.

Boca Helping Hands collection

Thank you for your donations to Boca Helping Hands. They were very impressed with the amount we collected. This will help many families in our community.

MECE Night Out

Thank you to Kelly Koscso for organizing our first MECE Night Out at Five Guys! Everyone had a great time seeing each other outside of school, and supporting our Parent Association at the same time.

Barnes and Noble Book Fair

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Book Fair! The teachers had a marvelous time reading to the children as well as getting some fabulous new books for their classrooms. We also got to hear from some additional special readers, two past MECE students!! Thank you Maggie Dohler for organizing this wonderful event.

Bug Show

During "B week" everyone loved learning all about

bugs from Mr. Roger!! We may have a few future Entomologists here at MECE!! The teachers were very brave too!!

Squirrel Feeder

Thank you so much to the Darch Family for making a new squirrel feeding picnic table and food storage box for our playground. The children enjoy watching the squirrels come by and nibble on the ears of corn.

Welcome to the Birthday Book Club!

Have you tried Lunch Bunch yet? Once the kids try it they usually want to do it all the time. There is no need to sign up in advance-just pack a lunch box and send it in. It is just $10 each time and your child will stay until 2 pm.

There are limited openings in Wiggle and Praise, STEAM, and Little Steamers. Contact us if you are interested in one.

Be sure to label everything that comes into school, with your child's name. This include lunch boxes, water bottles, jackets or sweaters, etc.

Daddy drop off for Threes and Fours

On Thursday, October 5 Dads in Miss Romi, Miss Chrissy, Miss Sharon, Miss Holli, Miss Gina, and Miss Susan's classes are invited to do drop off and come in for a special time in the classroom. If dad cannot attend, then another special guest is welcome to attend.

Speech Screening

We are pleased to offer speech screenings Thursday, Oct. 5 and Friday, Oct. 6.

We hope you take advantage of this free service being offered to our students.

Please let us know if you would like a screening form.

No Trash Snack challenge October 17 & 18-

In an effort to reduce the amount of trash at snack time we challenge you to try to pack a snack in all reusable containers or in recyclable containers. Every child that is able to have a trash free snack on October 17 or 18 will receive a MECE snack bag.

You are invited to a character costume parade!

Each class is choosing a theme and the teacher will let you know if anything is needed. Mark your calendar now for Thursday, October 26 at 9:15 for

Parent's Morning Out (PMO) is 9-noon for children ages 6 weeks-3 years. The cost is $25 and you can receive a $10 discount whenever you are at a MECE event (such as a Parent Association meeting). Sign-up through the FUMC website. They are often open when Palm Beach county schools, and MECE are closed. Click here to sign up. Contact Cathy for the $10 discount.

FUMC Worship

Contemporary worship is at 9:30 am in the Gathering Place. Sunday School is now offered for children ages 3 and up!

The purpose of the MECE Parent Association is to build a strong community among our pre-School and kindergarten parents; support the teachers and staff; and to raise funds to support the school. All parents of MECE students are members of the Parent Association. The MECE Parent Association plans numerous events and opportunities for parents to get involved and participate in the MECE Parent Association, thereby directly supporting the school and our children.

Directory

Thank you Megan Halvorsen for taking on the huge task of producing our MECE directory! Thank you to all our families and friends that supported by purchasing well wishes and ads. The directory will be edited and printed soon!

Book Fair

Family Night Out

Thank you to everyone that came to Family Night Out at 5 Guys! We made over $275 back to MECE!! Thank you to Stephanie Rasel for volunteering to plan our monthly Family Night Out!!

Please join us for our October night out at Fresh Kitchen in Boca on Tuesday, October 17! Fresh Kitchen will donate 20% of in person and on-line sales back to MECE.

Playdate

Come splash and play with your MECE friends at the Boca Raton Swim and Racquet Center on Friday, October 6 at 2:30! Thank you to Stephanie Rasel for setting up our October MECE Playdate!

Parent Association Meeting

Thank you to everyone that came out to our first Parent Association meeting!! We filled every event chair and even have 2-3 leaders for some events! This year should be wonderful with so many amazing

families eager to jump in! A HUGE thank you to our PA Board and event chairs. Join us Wednesday, October 11th at 9:15am in the Center Room for our next Parent Association Meeting. We will be discussing Trunk or Treat, the Auction and doing a quick recap/review of previous events. Children are always welcome!

Trunk Or Treat

Nothing spooky here! Join us for some family fun trick or treating here at MECE on Saturday, October 28th! Start brainstorming now for some simple or crazy trunk ideas!! More information will be coming home in the backpacks soon.
