Thank you to everyone who came out to Lucille's Bad to the Bone. Thank you Stephanie Spagnoli for another great MECE night out.
Thank you to Diane Rabb, Lauren Chaissan, Elizabeth Frank,
Shelby Williams and the all the parents that helped out at our amazing "Family Fun Day"!! Everyone had a wonderful time on the pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, games and magic show!! We still have a few MECE limited edition anniversary shirts available for $15.
Thank you to Stephanie Bryan, a local author, who came read her book about gratitude to the children. This was so appropriate for this time of year.
Thank you for the generous donations to Boca Helping Hands. That is a huge help to so many families.
We are looking forward to the Kindergarten class going to Happy Holiday Christmas Trees on Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach. Each year they donate a Christmas tree to MECE. We can't wait to show you pictures of it with handmade decorations!

Haven't tried Lunch Bunch yet?
If you need more time to get everything ready for Christmas, you might want to try Lunch Bunch. You do not have to sign up in advance, just pack a lunch box and send it in with your child. Be sure to write your child's name on it. We will bill you $10 and you have until 2 pm to get stuff done before you come back to MECE for pick up.
MECE is talking part in the Scholastic/ Pajama Partners annual pajama collection. Please consider donating children's new pajamas. Scholastic will pair these with a new book, and the pajama partners will make sure that some children in need will have a sweet bedtime story! Please drop this off by December 2.
On Friday, Dec. 2 the Polar Express Train Ride is coming to MECE. Please make sure to dress your child in their pajamas and each class will be taking a ride around the parking lot on the Polar Express Train. Everyone will also be treated to a cup of hot (warm) chocolate!! Three day classes are invited to join us at 11:15.
Wednesday, December 21 at 9:30 is the Bright Star Christmas Pageant in the Sanctuary for all Threes, Fours, and Kindergarten. Miss Liz's Junior Threes will be taking part so please mark your calendar to have them at school on Wednesday. All classes taking part in the pageant will return to their classrooms to remove their costumes after the Pageant. You can pick your child up from their classroom. The purpose of the MECE Parent Association is to build a strong community among our pre-School and kindergarten parents; support the teachers and staff; and to raise funds to support the school. All parents of MECE students are members of the Parent Association. The MECE Parent Association plans numerous events and opportunities for parents to get involved and participate in the MECE Parent Association, thereby directly supporting the school and our children.

Christmas Potluck Party
Join us on December 7th in the Center Room for our annual Christmas Potluck Party. Join us for a relaxing morning with food, and beverages as a way to kick off the holidays! We will be holding a contest for the best dishes! Top 3 in both the Teacher and the parent category will win a prize? Not a great cook? That's ok! Come by and help decide who will be our winners. Everyone is welcome, including children.
Bright Star Christmas Pageant DVD's
We are currently looking for a videographer for the Christmas Pageant. DVD's will go on sale once we have a confirmed vendor. If you or someone you know is a videographer please let us know! Contact Diane 561-756-5875 with any questions or referrals.
Our first meeting of the 2023 year is January 11 at 9:15am in the Center Room which is located in the MECE building.
Square 1 Art
We will decide on the final artwork for Square 1 Art at the first meeting in January. The kids LOVE creating this handprint art that can be made into so many beautiful products! Art will be created in January, and order forms will be sent home in March. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Diane.
PARENT ASSOCIATION BOARD AND COMMITTEE COORDINATORS
As we look to next year, think about how you would like to participate at MECE. The Parent Association is currently looking for a Vice President and a Secretary, as well as a Movie Night Coordinator and a Teacher Appreciation Coordinator. As many of you know, this is my final year at MECE. While it has been my pleasure serving as President, someone will need to step up into this role next year. If you are interested in any of these roles please let me know! The Directory Coordinator, Constantina Mirable, who has served for 2 years is also moving on this year. If you are interested in taking over please let us know so she can answer any questions you may have! I would like to begin the turnover process soon, so you can be familiar with the many events that take place throughout the year. There are so many of you that could fill these roles, and do a wonderful job at them. MECE's future's so bright!
Many blessings to you all,
Parent Association President
