MECK Pre-K is partnering with Learning Charms Foundation to provide occupational therapy screenings and services to our enrolled children. Occupational therapy supports children by providing one on one support in areas of :
Pre-handwriting (e.g., drawing shapes, letters, and first name)
Pre-reading (e.g. color, shape, letter, number, and name recognition)
Fine Motor (e.g., grasp of crayon, dominant hand use, opening containers)
Emotional Regulation
Sensory Processing(e.g. gets overwhelmed easily, difficulty with transitions)
Gross Motor Skills (e.g. balance, jumping, endurance, strength)
Self Help Skills (e.g., dressing self, buttoning, using utensils when eating)
Following 2-3 step Directions
