Some MEDC changes
Fear stagnation; embrace change Debasish Mridha
The MEDC has recently had two of their top officers step down after almost 9 years of serving on the MEDC Board. Dr. Neil Schlupp , served as the MEDC Chair and was a founding member of the organization and the (GMAC) Greater Montgomery area Chamber of Commerce. Don Kalish , the MEDC Treasurer is also turning over his reigns as he became the President of the Path to Recovery Foundation , whose mission is to support families dealing with substance abuse. The MEDC has been fortunate to have such strong and dedicated volunteers serving on the Board. Village Trustee, Doug Marecek has stepped up to fill the Chairman's position and is very excited to continue his relationships with the MEDC and the business community. Jonathan Sheddan is new to the MEDC board and is the Director of Accounting and Reimbursement for Rush Copley Medical Center. Please see the Press Release for additional details.

A huge congratulations goes out to Carl Buddig and Company LLC , for being among the winners for the 2019 Corporate Investment & Community Impact (CiCi) awards, presented by Trade & Industry magazine :
With hundreds of project submissions from throughout North America, this is indeed an honor for us all. This project was chosen out of 15 projects in the Community Impact Category. Trade & Industry Development magazine is a highly recognized leader in the corporate and relocation industry. We are extremely proud of Buddig for this honor.

The Montgomery campus recently expanded their young adults/teen room. An outdoor covered patio as also added for outside reading pleasure and programs. The library continues to add programs and events to appease each and every generation. We are extremely proud of all the library offers our residents and businesses.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019. Over 75 people attended the celebration: The library is also planning their 10 year anniversary party for the Montgomery campus. Please save the date: August 17, 2019 and join us for this celebration.

Oswego Library, Montgomery Campus adds an out door patio.
The outdoor patio can accommodate groups of over 100 people. People can enjoy being outside as well as sharing their love for reading surrounded by nature. What a great addition!

The MEDC Board is a volunteer based Board that provides input and direction to the MEDC. We have a committed group of board members that represent a variety of business that have been a part of the organization since the MEDC was founded in 2003. The MEDC along with the business community leaders have helped create an environment that provides resources and opportunities for businesses to grow and flourish in our community.
