What: Award-winning American Novelist Colson Whitehead will meet with Capital High students.

When: Tuesday, February 13, 2018, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Where: Capital High School Library, 8055 W. Goddard Rd., Boise, ID

Brief Description: Capital High School will host American Novelist Colson Whitehead (pictured) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the school's library on February 13th. Whitehead will meet with students to discuss writing and his work The Underground Railroad, which a group of 25 students and teachers have been reading. The discussion will be student-led with four of Capital's Writer's Guild students, Shelley Toussau, Bailey Arendt, Kensie Labree-Scarborough and Peyton Wagner. Whitehead will be in Boise as part of The Cabin's Readings and Conversations. Whitehead's visit to Capital High School is sponsored by the John William Jackson Fund, University of Idaho, Boise State University and the Boise Public Library.
