Announcement Of Plan To Save Immigrant Businesses And Jobs
(Changes To The SBJSA and Call To Pass The Bill Immediately) 
 
The Bronx, NY-- Tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd, Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez, will be joined by the President of Bodega and Small Business Association of New YorkFrancisco Marte,  President of United Bodegas of America, Radhames Rodriguez, community leaders, small business owners, and community residents to demand that SBS provide additional financial support to small businesses and to call on the City to immediately pass the Small Business Job Survival Act. The City is seeing hundreds of businesses closing as a result of the added financial pressures of the impact of COVID-19. Countless mom and pop shops have been long struggling under increasingly financial hardships that primarily result from their inability to negotiate fair leases. It is more important than ever to pass common-sense legislation that will save thousands of small businesses in NYC.

The Bronx, NY--  El Lunes 18 de Mayo, el  Concejal  Ydanis Rodríguez, se unirá al Presidente de Bodega and Small Business Association of New York, Francisco Marte, Presidente de United Bodegas of America, Radhames Rodriguez, líderes de la comunidad, propietarios de pequeñas empresas y residentes de la comunidad para exigir que SBS brinde apoyo financiero adicional a los pequeños negocios y para pedir a la Ciudad que apruebe la Ley de Empleos de Pequeños Negocios de inmediato. Cientos de negocios están cerrando como resultado de las presiones financieras adicionales del impacto de COVID-19. Muchas pequeñas tiendas y negocios han estado sufriendo financieramente por un largo tiempo bajo el peso de acuerdos de arrendamientos y alquileres injustos. Es más importante que nunca aprobar esta legislación necesaria que salvará a miles de pequeños negocios en la Ciudad de Nueva York.
