On Friday, February 22, 2019, Les Bois Junior High School will host the annual Boise School District Tech 9 CO2 Dragster Championships from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the large gym, 4150 E. Grand Forest Dr., Boise.
This annual STEM event allows Freshmen from Boise School District the opportunity to design, build and compete with the top Co2 dragsters from the participating junior high schools.
This STEM-based activity culminates months of hard work and dedication by the students and junior high technology teachers as they work through the engineering design process in hopes of being crowned the fastest CO2 Dragster in the city.
This event will begin with semi-qualification matches in the morning and will conclude with the championship races after lunch.
Media and local school district personnel are encouraged to attend this wonderful STEM based activity.
