MEDIA ADVISORY: DOC Inmate Organizations to Make Large Monetary Donation to Baton Rouge African-American Museum

BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana Department of Corrections' inmates have selected the Baton Rouge African-American History Museum as a recipient of inmate organizations’ 2020 philanthropic donations. At 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the museum, located at 538 South Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Secretary James M. Le Blanc and representatives from the inmate organizations will present the donation to the family of Ms. Sadie Joseph-Roberts as a demonstration of their support to keep the museum operating after last year’s tragic murder of Ms. Joseph-Roberts, the museum's founder.
