Southbridge, MA - Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. has partnered with the United Way of South Central Massachusetts and Harrington Hospital to host a mobile vaccination clinic in the parking lot at the agency's Head Start Center located at 25 Cole Avenue, Southbridge, from 3-5 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021.

Monday, June 7, 2021
3-5 p.m.
25 Cole Avenue, Southbridge

The Johnson & Johnson one dose vaccine will be distributed to anyone 18 years of age or older. Insurance card and ID are suggested but not required. Name and date of birth is required for medical record and vaccination card purpose only.

Although Massachusetts boasts a 75% vaccination rate statewide, (meaning 75% of adults have received at least one dose), Southbridge's vaccination rate is just 48% per capita.

"Substantial evidence exists showing that communities of color have experienced significantly higher rates of infection and mortality due to COVID19 when compared to white Americans," noted WCAC Executive Director Marybeth Campbell. "Due to longstanding structural and racial inequities that disenfranchised communities of color, supporting them through the pandemic requires a multifaceted approach. WCAC is proud to be a partner in this effort and encourages everyone to get vaccinated to protect themselves, their families and our community!"
