On Friday, May 31, administrators from School No. 5 will spend part of the school day on the roof of the school.
This is the result of a month-long reading initiative that the school has cleverly named "Read Our Principals to the Roof." Students were challenged to read 250,000 minutes during the month of May, with the promise that each of their school administrators would spend part of the school day on the roof.
The event kicks off at 10:00 am, with the Rochester Fire Department's Community Risk Reduction Team lifting Principal Terrilyn Hammond to the roof in the engine's bucket.
