Humane Society of Charlotte partners with North Shore Animal League and NASCAR for a special puppy adoption event
Race to the Rescue! Puppies from the Humane Society of Charlotte hit the "race track" at SouthPark Mall before the weekend's NASCAR action

WHAT : NASCAR, the Humane Society of Charlotte (HSC) and North Shore Animal League America (NSALA) have teamed up to raise awareness about the plight of animal homelessness and bring puppy power to Charlotte this weekend. There will be an interactive puppy experience at SouthPark Mall ahead of the Bank of America 500 NASCAR by Monster Energy Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on September 30 th at 2:00pm ET.

To add NASCAR flare, the experience will include a custom-built NASCAR track model containing adoptable puppies posing as your favorite drivers (e.g. Paw-stin Dillion, Chase “Your Tail” Elliott, etc.).

The effort is meant to drive awareness about the importance of rescue and adoption while finding all Pup Series animals a loving home. All the puppies participating are available for adoption and many are survivors of Hurricane Florence that were taken in by the Humane Society of Charlotte. HSC will be working with NSALA to facilitate adoptions and discuss:
  • Awareness around rescue and adoption of homeless animals in Charlotte and the importance of pet adoption
  • The opportunity to adopt through the Humane Society of Charlotte
