Subject: Officer Involved Shooting
Location: Cambridge Square Apartments, Promontory Drive
COVINGTON, KY- Police responded to Cambridge Square Apartments for a Burglary in Progress with a male suspect armed with a butcher knife beating on the door of an apartment. Officers encountered the suspect outside the apartment building armed with a knife. The suspect came at officers and shots were fired. The suspect was subsequently transported to UC Medical Center for treatment. The Covington Police Department does not investigate its own officer-involved shootings. The Kentucky State Police responded to investigate. There is no threat to the public and anyone who has any information about this incident is encouraged to contact Kentucky State Police at 502-782-1800.
