PREMIER TO UPDATE BUSINESS COMMUNITY ON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
Expect progress report and announcements at State of the Province Address, says Premier

December 5, 2018, Winnipeg - Manitoba's community, industry and labour leaders can expect to hear an update on Manitoba's economic development strategy from Premier Brian Pallister at the upcoming State of the Province Address - his third such address since taking office.

"We're getting results that are exciting and that's going to continue as we move forward," notes Premier Brian Pallister in a recent interview with Winnipeg Chamber Board Chair Scott Sissons. The Premier said to expect additional details on the economic development strategy in his address, emphasizing that Manitoba has long been Canada's best-kept secret.

" I'd like to thank Dave Angus and Barb Gamey for leading a comprehensive public engagement earlier this year," said the Premier. "We are pleased to deliver a renewed and reinvigorated approach to economic development in Manitoba."

With more than 1,200 in attendance, The State of the Province is The Chamber's largest event of the season. This year attendees are asked to bring new or gently used children's books for United Way Winnipeg. The donations will go to 24 local family resource centres that service 35,000 children and families across Winnipeg.

Tickets for The State of the Province Address can be purchased at winnipeg-chamber.com.
