COVINGTON, KY- The Covington Police Criminal Investigation Bureau is currently investigating a shooting that took place at the Marathon Gas Station located at 420 West Pike Street in Covington.
At approximately 5:23 p.m., officers responded to St. Elizabeth Covington , where a man with a gunshot wound had been transported by a third party to the emergency department. Officers determined the shooting occurred at the Marathon Gas Station at the intersection of Pike and Main Street. The victim was subsequently transferred to UC Medical Center by ambulance and is in stable condition.
We do not have a suspect in custody yet, but we believe the incident was isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the public's safety.
