Long Beach Water hosts final two virtual budget workshops June 9 and June 23
LONG BEACH, CALIF. (JUNE 3, 2022) — Residents and businesses can get involved and provide input at the final two budget workshops hosted by the Long Beach Board of Water Commissioners on June 9 and June 23.

Both meetings will begin at 9 a.m. and be held virtually via Zoom. Click here to find login information for each meeting.

The meetings are part of a series of four public workshops for the Board to discuss the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 budget, which covers the 12 months from October 2022 through September 2023.

You can find presentations and video from all the budget workshops at lbwater.org/budget.

Budget workshops include in-depth discussions about proposed improvements to the water and sewer systems, including pipeline replacements and water quality enhancements.

The Board also discusses strategies to increase local water supply, cost reduction efforts and any potential impacts on future water and sewer rates.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the meetings and share input virtually. Comments can also be sent via email to watercommission@lbwater.org.

The Board is expected to adopt the final budget and rates at the June 23 meeting.
