Subject: Shooting Investigation

Location: 4300 Block of McKee Street


COVINGTON, KY- Covington Police detectives, along with the department’s Evidence Collection Unit, are actively investigating a shooting that occurred in the 4300 block of McKee Street.


At approximately 4:49 p.m. today, officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of McKee Street in the Latonia neighborhood for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 12-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The juvenile was transported by ambulance to Cincinnati Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.


No suspects have been detained, but at this time, investigators do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.


Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident. We ask community members to avoid the area, but please check any surveillance footage you may have if you live nearby. Updates will be released as more information becomes available.

03:00 Hrs, 2/23/2026


Jayden Marsh, 19, of Covington, has been taken into custody and charged with Attempted Murder in connection with this shooting. He was lodged at Kenton County Detention Center. The juvenile victim remains in critical condition.
