Hello Members,
We have a unique and exciting week coming up at the Park from November 13th - 20th. It’s an important fundraising opportunity to support our operating budget. We will have a notable onsite presence from GMC at the Park as they unveil their new electric GMC Sierra EV to the automotive industry’s press corps.
GMC will utilize a limited area. The Four Winds Arena will be closed to horses for the remainder of their stay here. The other arenas will be open as usual. The cross-country course and track will be closed during the mornings of November 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th and 20th. On those days, cross-country will open at 1:00 PM. During the period of GMC’s time at the Park, a viewing structure and cones by the south water complex will be placed for their use. We ask that you please avoid them.
We ask for your patience and understanding as we go through these GMC days. Please keep in mind as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, this type of fundraising opportunity really helps us. We have of course, secured the necessary approvals and GMC respects our special land and protocols to be here.
We also invite you to take part in a special event for our membership that GMC is hosting. On Saturday November 16th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, all Members are invited to come together at the Counselor Tree near the main entrance to the cross-country course. There will be light refreshments and GMC representatives on hand to talk about their electronic vehicle engineering and the specific attributes of their truck. Some demonstrations will occur. We have been promised that this will not be treated as a sales event; also, please know we are NOT sharing any information about any of our membership with them. On the contrary, they hope to host this event as a thank you to our community for allowing them to be here.
