CORAM CONSTRUCTION PULLS TOGETHER
TO SUPPORT KELLY STROBL'S FAMILY
Last week was a tough one for Coram Construction as one of their rising stars, Kelly Strobl, lost his life in an accident at his home on October 11.

Kelly started his career at Coram in August 2014 at 18 years old. He apprenticed as a carpenter, and was preparing to write his final exam to become an inter-provincial journeyperson.
Kelly was a fun-loving and well-liked addition to the Coram team. His personality, combined with his trade skills, had earned him the role of supervisor.

Like many young men, Kelly had a passion for vehicles, sleds, motorcycles, trucks and quads and he spent much of his spare time working on them.
Losing one of their team members has been difficult for the Coram group, but like true leaders, they have chosen to focus their energy on helping Kelly’s family.

With the knowledge that Kelly and his partner, Macheala Read, were expecting a baby in March 2020, Ian Knibbs, Coram General Manager, set up a Go Fund Me Page. They have raised over $23,000 in a few days.
Coram also hosted a fundraiser and Celebration of Life for Kelly with over 150 staff, family and friends in attendance. It was an emotional night as guests were encouraged to share their fond memories of Kelly.

In addition, the Coram team has pledged to be there to support the Strobl family with whatever they need throughout this difficult time.
