MERIT partner, the Saskatchewan Construction Association Hosts Another Successful Summer Meeting
The Annual SCA Summer Meeting at Elk Ridge on June 6 and 7 neared capacity with over 200 construction professionals in attendance. This annual event, which the SCA has hosted for over 60 years, is the main industry networking event to connect contractors from all sectors throughout the province. Over 20 new companies participated in the event this year.

What makes it so popular? It's the perfect combination of learning and fun!
Information on procurement was provided by Saskbuilds by way of a "World Café" to create constructive conversation.

Misty Alexandre with Roberston Strombery LLP talked about the Latest in Construction Law and used a game show format to keep things interesting.
This year's theme was "Champions in Construction", and many of the participants dressed the part! There were many entertaining events that took place over the two and a half days, from the annual golf tournament and fishing derby to Ax throwing, vintage video games and Danceland DJ with a photobooth.
There has been a noticeable succession shift within the industry. While there were many familiar faces from companies that have supported the SCA for a number of years, the next generation of owners and senior managers are now filling the room and using the event to build their networks.
We congratulate the SCA for hosting another successful event, we also thank them for providing this valuable networking opportunity to Saskatchewan's contractors.
