It's time for our Spring Scholastic Book Fairs. The Jordan/Jackson book fair begins on Monday, March 13. Information will be coming home in backpacks this week!
March 13 to 17, 2023
Jordan/Jackson Multi-Purpose Room
Classes will visit the book fair during school.
The fair will be open to the public during parent-teacher conferences:

Friday, March 17 - Dismissal to 2:00 pm

Volunteering
Many people are needed to make the book fair run smoothly. Please consider volunteering to help with set-up, clean-up, and staffing during class visits or during our Open to Public shifts. The daily shift schedule for class visits has been provided if you wish to coordinate your volunteer time with your child's time at the fair.
CORI Checks
All volunteers must have a valid CORI form on file with Mansfield Public Schools. A link to the CORI form is below:
How to Pay at the Fair
An eWallet is a safe, cashless way for students to shop at the book fair. Simply use the link below to fund your student's eWallet before the fair. Anyone can add money to the account, so share the link with relatives. After the fair, your remaining eWallet balance becomes a gift card to shop online with Scholastic or to fund a future eWallet.
Sending money: We understand some families prefer to pay with cash or check. Please send cash in a resealable bag and make checks out to MESA with the monetary limit written in the check's note section if applicable.

MESA’S Scholastic Book Fair eWallet Giving Fund is back!!! This is a way many of our families can give back by contributing where there may be a need. Each book fair will have an eWallet account to be utilized at the discretion of the teachers and the volunteer chairs. Any amount left in the account at the end of the fair will be treated like Scholastic Dollars, and used in the same manner: Scholastic Dollars fund programs like Bookworms and One Book One Grade, and they also cover purchases for each teacher’s classroom library.
Please click on the button if you would like to contribute:

The Robinson book fair will be held March 27 to 31. More information will be coming soon!

Teacher Appreciation Dinners
Teacher appreciation dinners will be held during conferences this month. The J/J teacher dinner will be held on Thursday, March 16. We are looking for donations of side items, beverages, centerpieces, and paper products. We also need a few people to help with setup and cleanup.
In addition to the dinner, we are reaching out for gift cards and other donations to be used as prizes for a Raffle event during Staff Appreciation Week in May. We are grateful for any help our community can contribute to helping us show our staff our appreciation!

MESA is the non-profit parent organization of the Robinson and Jordan/Jackson elementary schools. We facilitate fundraising, enrichment, and community building fun for our schools and students. If you have a student at Robinson or J/J, you are automatically a member of MESA.
We are always looking for help, new ideas and involvement!
We will be introducing you to our board and committee members over the next few months!
Meet MESA's President, Sara Carnevale.
Hi, my name is Sara Carnevale, and I currently serve as the MESA President. I have been on the MESA Board for 5 years, previously serving as Ways & Means Co-VP and as Robinson VP. I love being connected to the schools, and some of my favorite MESA events include book fairs and Bookworms! I have lived in Mansfield since 2009, and am raising 3 children, Tony & Nick (grade 5) and MJ (grade 2), with my husband Phil. We spend most of our time on the sports fields and courts with our kids, where we often coach their teams.
This will be my last year serving on the MESA Board, but I look forward to continuing to volunteer for its programs!
MESA is run entirely by volunteers. Whether you work full-time, part-time or are a stay-at-home parent, we could use your help!
Accounts Payable Treasurer - MESA is looking for a new treasurer to join the board for the 2023-24 school year. Identifying a treasurer now will give the person time to learn the ropes from our current treasurers. If you are interested in learning more please email [email protected]
