Robinson Bookworms This Week |
|
Bookworms for Robinson second graders will be held on Wednesday morning. First graders were supposed to have Bookworms today, but we will work with the administration to reschedule because of the snow day. Bookworms is a literacy program run by MESA with the proceeds from the book fairs. Each student is able to choose a FREE book to take home. Ask your students what book they chose!
Can you help out at Bookworms? There are still 2 volunteer slots available for tomorrow's 2nd grade session. Volunteers must have a valid CORI on file with Mansfield Schools.

Spring book fairs are just a few weeks away. We need help putting flyers together, so grab a stapler, a coffee, and a friend and come on down to the J/J on Monday, March 6 at 9 am for a stapling party. We will be meeting in room C108. We need at least 10 volunteers to finish the job in time. |

The spring Scholastic Book Fair at J/J runs March 13 to 17. More information will be coming home in backpacks next week. In the meantime, please consider volunteering at the book fair. Many people are needed to help with set-up, clean-up, and staffing during class visits or during our Open to Public shifts. The daily shift schedule for class visits has been provided if you wish to coordinate your volunteer time with your child's time at the fair. |

Altitude Fundraiser Continues |
The Altitude fundraiser continues for another two weeks (ends Saturday, March 11). Let your child bounce off some energy while raising money for the Robinson and J/J.
Just mention MESA when you purchase your passes during this time to support the fundraiser. You can buy passes online as well by purchasing MESA 60, MESA 90, or MESA 120 jump passes.
This is open to everyone, so share this with friends!

Mansfield SEPAC Community Resource Fair
|
Mansfield SEPAC, along with the Foxboro SEPAC will be hosting its first Community Resource Fair.

There will be 40 organizations attending specializing in family support, emotional health, family services and more!! There will be raffles, giveaways, and a special guest named Bentley.
Bring the whole family for this first of it's kind SEPAC event in Mansfield.

The second of three 'Together We Can' dances takes place this Friday, March 3! Girls in grades 3-5 get their chance to hit the dance floor with their special person! This is not a MESA event. If you have questions, reach out to @TogetherWeCanMansfield on Facebook.

MESA is the non-profit parent organization of the Robinson and Jordan/Jackson elementary schools. We facilitate fundraising, enrichment, and community building fun for our schools and students. If you have a student at Robinson or J/J, you are automatically a member of MESA.
We are always looking for help, new ideas and involvement!

Meet MESA's President, Sara Carnevale.
|
Hi, my name is Sara Carnevale, and I currently serve as the MESA President. I have been on the MESA Board for 5 years, previously serving as Ways & Means Co-VP and as Robinson VP. I love being connected to the schools, and some of my favorite MESA events include book fairs and Bookworms! I have lived in Mansfield since 2009, and am raising 3 children, Tony & Nick (grade 5) and MJ (grade 2), with my husband Phil. We spend most of our time on the sports fields and courts with our kids, where we often coach their teams.
This will be my last year serving on the MESA Board, but I look forward to continuing to volunteer for its programs!
