IT IS TIME TO REGISTER FOR THE LARGEST INTERNATIONAL EVENT DEDICATED TO METAL IN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
HOW WOMEN ARE CHANGING THE FACE OF
ROOFING AND STEEL
Can women play a key role in the industry’s labor shortage? Absolutely! A diverse group of women industry experts will lead a session at METALCON 2019 to discuss how to build and grow a business based on diversity and inclusion that will help both retain great talent and attract new hires. They will show how women professional associations in roofing and metal are making a difference when it comes to professionalism, business success and thoughtful leadership in the traditionally male dominated metal and roofing industries. With the need for labor at an all-time high, this session is a must for your recruitment strategies. Moderated by Heidi Ellsworth, Founder of National Women in Roofing, Partner with RoofersCoffeeShop® and Owner of HJE Consulting, she will be joined by:
• Jill Buckley, Coil Commercial Manager, PPG Industrial Coatings
• Renee Ramey, Executive Director, Metal Roofing Alliance
• Deana Lecy, Director of Metals Programs, North American Steel Alliance
• Sonya Malvick, International President, Association of Women in the Metal Industries
• LeeAnn Slattery, Sales Support Manager, ATAS International, Inc

This session will take place in the PPG Theatre located on the show floor on Wednesday, October 16 from 1:00-1:45 pm.

According to a Wall Street Journal article from July 2018, “Nationally, the share of young construction workers declined nearly 30% from 2005 through 2016, according to an analysis of US Census data by Issi Romem, chief economist at construction data firm BuildZoom.” To help combat current labor shortages, it is important to learn strategies of attracting and retaining a young work force. Join Mark MacDonald, Sales and Marketing Development Manager with Sherwin Williams and Todd Miller, President of Isaiah Industries as they lead an important education session at METALCON 2019 on how to attract young installers. They will explore a range of topics from how to gain the attention of a prospect employee to creating an engaging environment that ensures longevity with your company. The session will take place in the PPG Theater at METALCON on Wednesday, October 16 from 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm. This session is included in the Total Experience registration.
INNOVATION STATIONS AND CASH PRIZES

It’s simple to play — download the METALCON APP, find all ten stations located on the show floor, scan the QR code and that’s it! Sponsoring exhibitors have new product information displayed at each station so you may learn something along the way too. Thank you to our exhibitor sponsors and to DesignandBuildwithMetal.com for donating the cash prizes.
PITTSBURGH - DID YOU KNOW?
USA Today Weekend Magazine calls it one of the "10 most beautiful views in America". While you are in Pittsburgh, take a step back in time on a century-old cable car and ride one of the few remaining inclines in the country while seeing the best view of the city. The Duquesne Incline opened in 1877 and was rescued and restored by a group of local residents in 1963. Open 365 days a year, take a ride in one of the original wooden cable cars and enjoy historical exhibits in the waiting room between rides. Hours of operation: Monday through Saturday 5:30 am to 12:30 am; Sundays and Holidays from 7:00 am to 12:30 am.
