METRORail Red Line service between Downtown Transit Center Station and Fannin South Park & Ride Station will be temporarily interrupted from the start of service on Saturday, Aug. 8, through the end of service on Sunday, Aug. 9, to allow crews to perform essential maintenance that can only be completed when trains are not operating.
This work is an important part of the METRONow plan, helping keep the rail system in a state of good repair, improve reliability and reduce the need for future service interruptions. Temporarily suspending train service provides crews with safe access to the tracks and equipment needed to complete these critical improvements.
To accommodate riders, shuttle buses will operate every 10 minutes between Downtown Transit Center Station and Fannin South Park & Ride Station, replacing trains along the affected portion of the line.
Riders can view the shuttle bus map for boarding locations.

Riders needing assistance or trip-planning information can call or text METRO Customer Service at 713-635-4000, available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
METRO staff will also be on-site to help direct riders as needed.
