My black lab named Harley enjoyed her 11th birthday last month. She has been a member of my family since she was just a 6-month-old puppy. I found this sweetheart at the Bay Area Humane Society in Green Bay, WI. She has basically become my child over the years. And now with Tracy and her children in my life, Harley has become adopted by her family too.
It's so cute to watch them play and tease each other as if they really are brother and sister. Unfortunately all my hunting expeditions are not of interest to Harley. She never really evolved into the bird dog I had hoped for in my life. Harley decided she was more of a deer spotter. We will watch deer hunting shows on TV and Harley will wait for the deer to run out the side of the TV! And when they don't, she will go back to the front of the television and whine wondering where they went.
So she loves going deer hunting with me, camping and enjoying the cabin weekends.
Harley loves people and especially children. I wouldn't give her up for the world. Plus she likes to snuggle and how can you say no to that!. And wow, does she know how play you for a treat.
Harley has been an amazing, smart and very loyal part of my life for 10 years. I'm happy to have been able to be a part of hers.
