Importing Images into Metron

Having all your patient's X-Rays in one location has its benefits. It allows you to take advantage of using many of Metron's tools. Examples are viewing images side-by-side, guided markup, free markup, and Metron Web-Viewer. To name a few.


When a patient comes in with a CD or USB flash drive, use the Import Image button to add them to their study. Here are the steps to import those images into your Metron study list.


How to Use the Import Image Button

  1. Insert the CD or USB Flash drive
  2. Open Metron and verify the Owner, Animal, and Date are correct
  3. Click the Import Image button
  4. Press the Root Up button until it disappears
  5. Browse to your CD or USB flash drive
  6. Select each image and click the Import Highlighted Images button
  7. Images are imported to the current study
  8. Change the label of the image from Other to the proper anatomy
  9. Start using images with Metron tools

Update Metron Cloud Backup

Metron Support Services strives to provide the best service possible. Part of the support is the eligibility to enroll in our Metron Cloud Backup Service. We continue to provide this solution at our cost. Unfortunately, the price of the product we use has increased. The cost of this service is now $100 per year. If you already have an active Metron Cloud Backup Service agreement, you will notice this increase during your next renewal. 


With this still considerably low cost, you will continue receiving automatic offsite backup for your Metron Software and working database on your internal hard drive. When a disaster hits, we will restore your backup at no extra cost.
