APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED FOR REMAINING 
2019 & 2020 NATIONAL HOUSING TRUST FUNDS
BY THE ALABAMA HOUSING FINANCE AUTHORITY

Applications for the National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) Program are being accepted by Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) for the remaining 2019 and 2020 funding. Applications to be considered for this funding pool must be received by AHFA prior to 5pm, on Monday, January 11, 2021. The NHTF Program Status Report, inclusive of pending applications, awards, returned awards, and terminated applications is available at www.ahfa.com.
 
1st TIME APPLICANTS
First time applicants should submit the following materials:
  • 2020 AHFA National Housing Trust Fund Application Submission Forms (including Architect's Certification)
  • Deviation Request Form (if applicable)
  • AHFA DMS Authority Online HTF Application
Environmental Studies for HTF projects will be engaged by AHFA. HUD suggested formats for determining compliance with Environmental Provisions are available at www.AHFA.com.

HOME/HC OR HC AWARDEES MAY ALSO APPLY
Projects awarded during the AHFA HOME/HC Program Years 2019 - 2020 may also submit an application for HTF. The applicants must have committed to provide 5% of the total proposed units for tenants with disabilities or homeless populations and be in compliance with the HTF program requirements, inclusive of the 30% AMI restriction and the 30-year affordability period.
