MFG Partner Spotlight

Stephen Wallace has been with ASI for the past 10 years. He believes in helping to build better employees.

"If we can build and develop our people, we will never have late orders," says Wallace. He has even started a leadership book club in addition to other value-add employee engagement, stating, "it's little things like that that help to better develop your organization."

During his time there he has been able to experience two plant moves, work with the Southeast headquarters, and have a hand in the company's record growth.

Georgia Mountains Works is proud to have Stephen and ASI represented as an active

April kicked off some of WorkSource Georgia Mountain's Bootcamp series including welding, electromechanical, and HVAC.

Six graduating high school students applied and will participate in 4 weeks of training concluding with an HVAC Helper Certification which is applicable to further training in the future. Each week partner employers will facilitate OJL and North Georgia Tech will provide technical instruction. WorkSource Georgia Mountains through WIOA will pay wages and provide an education stipend. This opportunity was developed out of a White County High School hosted Georgia Mountains Works meeting that grew to involve Mountain Education Charter High School, employers, the Chamber, and now graduates to become employees.
