Greg Vitek | LinkedIn, brings 40 years of experience in a broad range of automotive manufacturing management roles to Workforce Strategies Group. He has enjoyed a career in Manufacturing and Quality trains, teaching and implementing “hard skills” such as Problem Solving Continuous Improvement and Change Management. Greg also shares his “soft skills” approach with trainees, such as Listening Skills, Appreciation and Critical Feedback. His aim is to serve and benefit both manufacturers and individuals by enhancing essential skills, hence contributing to economic growth.

Shelley Logan | LinkedIn, leverages her skills to foster growth as an instructor and workforce development professional. Following an extensive career in economic development, specifically focusing on the manufacturing sector, she founded Workforce Strategies Group LLC in 2019 alongside her business partner, Greg Vitek. Her commitment to enhance the local workforce impacts the Georgia Mountains region across 13 counties. Shelley trains in “soft skills” like emotional intelligence, Work Life balance, Personalities, and Presentation skills.

Colette Robinson, | LinkedIn, is currently the HR Manager at ZF Group and has worked in HR for over 20 years. She will be training on the Human Resource components of Supervisor and Industry Leadership (SAIL) this year at Lanier Technical College, at both the Gainesville and Dawsonville campuses.

| Supervisor & Industry Leadership training (SAIL) Spring 2025 is an accelerated offering of all the topics over a 1-month period starting in April 2025 at the Dawsonville Campus of Lanier Technical College. SAIL is offered in collaboration with Lanier Technical College, Workforce Strategies Group LLC, and the Georgia Mountains Manufacturing Sector Workforce Development Strategy. Training cost may be reimbursed by WorkSource Georgia Mountain's WIOA. | |

Monthly Webinar Series, The Apprenticeship Navigator, covers a specific topic in 15 minutes. Each webinar addresses apprenticeships for workforce retention, development, and succession planning. Apprenticeship Navigator is facilitated by Workforce Strategies Group, through Georgia Mountains Works Sector Strategy and WorkSource Georgia Mountains, and is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s SAEF grant to expand registered apprenticeship programs (RAPs).

GPLN SAIL Plus Graduation
Congrats to the recent GPLN SAIL Plus Director Training graduates!
Supervisor and Industry Leadership (SAIL) is a 48-hour course. Georgia Poultry Laboratory Network (GPLN) customized the topics and increased the length of the course specifically for their Director-level leaders for their company, hence GPLN SAIL Plus. This customized training was hosted at Lanier Technical College and trained by Workforce Strategies Group and qualified for WorkSource Georgia Mountains Works WIOA Incumbent Worker Training funds too.
We were so proud to see these leaders grow!

Career Path Fair 2025
The workforce development pipeline starts early! Another Career Path Fair is in the books! We welcomed Gainesville and Hall County middle school students to Brenau University, Lanier Technical College and University of North Georgia over the last two weeks. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Manufacturing (MFG) Sector Strategy collaborates with stakeholders in the 13-county WorkSource Georgia Mountains (WSGM) region to align education and workforce training programs with the needs of manufacturing businesses. WSGM, under Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, administers the federal WIOA funds which encourages sector strategies and partnerships. Workforce Strategies Group LLC manages the MFG Sector Strategy.
