Georgia Mountains Works celebrated October's National Manufacturing Day, dedicated to fostering awareness of careers in advanced manufacturing and preparing the future workforce. Thank you to our school systems and Chambers of Commerce that made this happen. Thank you to the 24 Manufacturers that opened their doors to over 440 students in our region including our partners: ASI Southeast, Automation Direct, Harris Products, Power Services Group, Patterson Pump, Specialty Appliances, Universal Servo, and ZF. #MFGDay24

The 2024 Georgia Apprenticeship Week Summit will be held locally on November 20 at Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College.

National Apprenticeship Week emphasizes the transformative power of apprenticeships in the talent pipeline offering an unparalleled blend of hands-on experience and structured learning. There are six MFG-related apprenticeships now available at Lanier Tech and North Georgia Tech.

Supervisors are the company to the employees on their team.


Eight topics were developed by the Georgia Mountains Works Employer Partnership specifically for Supervisors and Leaders. They are delivered by subject matter experts over 12 weeks. New classes start in February 2025.

Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) has increased its annual placement rate to 99.6% and its placement rate for graduates within the field of their study to 92.6%.
