Occupational

Priorities

Georgia Mountains Works Employer Partners annually participate in an Occupational Priorities Survey for the Manufacturing & Trade-Related occupations they deem to be of the greatest priority. These priorities determine workgroups and drive the creation of resources.

It's a TOP 10 LIST we can use! Industrial Maintenance Tech, Frontline Supervisor and Mechatronics/Robotics were each in the top 3 in the previous year.

In previous years, survey input resulted in the creation of the Quality Technician Control Apprenticeship and also the Supervisor & Industry Leadership Training (branded SAIL and LEAD) each offered at Lanier Technical College and North Georgia Technical College.

You can expect the partnership to be working on continuous improvement in workforce development efforts to benefit the manufacturing and trade-related industry sectors.
