“MFGA has recently celebrated 30 plus years in Manitoba. While the organization has seen peaks and valleys over that time there is no denying the quality of volunteer and staff support the organization has worked with over that time,” said Larry Wegner, MFGA chair of the group announced at the organization’s Annual General Meeting in Brandon this evening. “Outside of the roles and rosters of contractors, staff and volunteers, and the annual thank you plaque to retiring board executive members, MFGA has no real documented celebration of our history and excellence of contributions to the organization. This brings those valuable contributions to the forefront.”

The MFGA Wall of Fame will reside on MFGA.net. Wegner said the MFGA inducted the 2021 group of five candidates as the inaugural group and depending on the nominations before the board each year, a potential two to four inductees may be included each subsequent year. He said the main criteria are the inductees cannot be current board members or staff members. The MFGA Board approves the nominations which can be brought forward by existing board members and staff.
