Dear MFHS Families,

At Menomonee Falls High School, we are committed to ensuring our students are not only prepared for graduation but are also positioned for post-secondary success. A significant part of that preparation involves the ACT and Pre-ACT, and preparing for the test on March 18th. I want to share the intentional steps we are taking to support our students in the coming weeks.

Our 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students recently received their ACT results from the Fall testing window. In the classroom, students have spent time analyzing these results to identify their individual strengths and areas for growth. In Monday’s homeroom, students will take ownership of their data by creating personalized goals to guide their focus as we move toward the Spring testing dates.

To support these goals, we are introducing dedicated ACT preparation sessions during Phoenix Time. Over the next several weeks, students will have the opportunity to sign up for sessions that align with their specific needs—whether that is mastering math strategies, improving reading comprehension, or refining English usage skills. We encourage you to discuss with your student the preparation for the pre-ACT/ACT, including which Phoenix Time sessions they are selecting, and encourage them to practice using Peterson’s Test Prep. Here is the presentation students will receive in their homeroom on Monday, February 23.

On Wednesday, March 11th, we will host our Career Day. While the morning will focus on career exploration, the afternoon will be dedicated to a "choose your own adventure" style of ACT preparation. Students will be able to self-select three specific ACT prep sessions based on their individual goals. This format allows students to receive support exactly where they need it most.

Attendance Requirements for March 11th:

• Grades 9–11: Full-day attendance is required. These students will participate in the morning Career Day and the afternoon ACT prep sessions.
• Seniors: Attendance is required for the morning Career Day sessions. The afternoon ACT prep sessions are optional for seniors. Seniors who choose not to participate in the afternoon sessions may leave after the morning program concludes.

MFHS Booser Club Fundraiser: Casino Night Saturday, March 14th!

Celebrate St. Patty's Day and test your luck at the Second Annual MFBC Casino Night. This year, tickets will be $100 and will include $500 in casino chips and two drink tickets. Cash in your chips at the end of the night for raffle tickets and your chance to win cash prizes, with the grand prize of $1,000.00! This year, the event will be open to the public at DJ's Goalpost. Casino tickets are limited, however, so get your tickets now to ensure that you have an opportunity to try your luck at the games of chance.

The first week of February was National School Counseling Week! We are so grateful for our Student Services Team, who help all of our students with everything from mental health to college prep and scheduling. Thank you for all you do for our students!

January MFHS Optimist Students of the Month

Congratulations to Zoey Olson and Ryen Probasco for being recognized as January's Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls Students of the Month! Zoey and Ryen were nominated by Ms. Tarcin for their tremendous contributions to the Healthcare Academy's Winter Blood Drive, which included staffing the drive and creating a festive and fun environment for donators and staffers alike. Awesome job!

A Holiday Tradition from Spain Comes to MFHS



Congratulations to Nishanth Suthan, who has qualified as a Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program! Nishanth has had consistently high academic performance throughout his high school career, has been endorsed by his principal, and has excellent ACT or SAT scores. Finalists who are selected as Merit Scholarship recipients will be announced this spring. Congratulations, Nishanth, on this awesome accomplishment!

MSG SKI Team



Our MSG Ski Team is headed to State! 4 Falls girls will be competing in various Downhill Ski Racing events, including Slalom, Giant Slalom, and Super G. They will compete at Mount LaCrosse on their combined high school team (MSG). The Falls girls who will compete include Molly Todd, Natalie Wiley, Kylee McGinley, and Katie McGinley. Congratulations!

MFHS National German Honor Society

On February 10, 15 new members were inducted into the MFHS National German Honor Society! All are outstanding students, both individually and academically, in German 3, 4, and 5. During the ceremony, students vowed to promote friendship, understanding, and unity in our classroom, school, and world, as well as to promote the German language and culture. Thanks to our emcees for the ceremony, Katie Stein and Sean Voss from the German 5 CAPP class. Please join us in welcoming our newest members!

Actuarial Science Career Day



Last week, students had the opportunity to attend the Actuarial Science Career Day presented by Northwestern Mutual and Milliman. While there, students learned more about actuarial science, including what actuaries do (manage complex risks using analytical skills, business knowledge and understanding of human behavior) and expected entry level salary (with 1-2 exams passed actuaries earn a starting salary of $60-$80K). Students were also able to experience an office setting at the downtown NM office and take a picture by the Giannis mural too!

MFHS Forensics at DSHA

Congratulations to the MFHS Forensics team on a very successful meet this weekend at DSHA! MFHS won 2nd place among the medium-sized teams at this meeting, winning their first trophy since the club was reactivated 4 years ago! The following students also received individual recognitions:

Falls Forensics at Slinger

Math Club Cleans Up!

Congratulations to our Math Club Varsity 1 Team for taking 1st Place at the Tosa East Math Meet! Members include: Alex Grant, Scott Casper, Miles Seder, Gavin Loucks, Sahi Vadheraju, Seth Kuehn, Sreehari Ragunath, and Trevor Ciganek. Also, a big congratulations to our individual winners: Miles Seder (1st place), Gavin Loucks (3rd place), and Sahi Vadheraju (5th place).

FBLA Region 7 Champs!

Congratulations to the Falls FBLA Region 7 champions! On February 7, 103 students qualified to advance to the next level of competition at the Wisconsin Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference in April. In addition, sophomore Shiven Gupta was elected to serve as the 2026-27 Wisconsin FBLA Region 7 Vice President!
