Dear Menomonee Falls High School Families,

As we approach the end of the week, I want to take a moment to wish each of you a restful, safe, and rejuvenating Spring Break.

Whether you are traveling, catching up on some much-needed sleep, or simply enjoying time with family and friends here in the Falls, I hope this time away from the classroom provides a wonderful opportunity to recharge. Our students and staff have worked incredibly hard throughout the third quarter, and this break is a well-deserved pause for everyone in our school community.

While we want everyone to unplug, we have a very busy and exciting home stretch waiting for us when we return! From spring athletics to performing arts milestones and end-of-year traditions, there is a lot to keep track of.

We look forward to seeing all of our students back on campus, refreshed and ready to finish the school year strong.

World Culture Fair 2026

Save the date for the 2026 World Culture Fair! Join us for a night of culture and art through informational booths, music, dance, food, and more! This FREE family-friendly event has lots to do for kids of all ages. Here are the details:

FBLA State Conference Donations

Please consider supporting Falls FBLA as they compete at the State Leadership Conference in April! Falls FBLA is a student organization that prepares students for careers in business through leadership, networking, and competitive experiences. Members of Falls FBLA have opportunities to demonstrate their business skills through competitions and community service. Students competing at the State conference are currently hard at work preparing reports, creating projects, practicing presentations, and studying for their competitive events!

All monies raised will be used to fund transportation and lodging costs for FBLA members competing at the State conference in April!

Costa Rican

Exchange 2027

Be a part of the 2027 Costa Rican Exchange! We are looking for families to help us host Costa Rican students for two weeks in January and head to Costa Rica in June to visit them!

Host Families will: Provide a room, meals, and transportation to/from high school; share and experience Costa Rican culture, and make lasting friendships!

Student Art Show 2026

The SDMF Art+Design department is showcasing all grade levels and courses in our district, from elementary, middle, and high school, with over 150+ pieces of art & design work. All pieces will be on display at the Menomonee Falls Public Library from March 1 to April 14.

We will be hosting a Closing Reception for all student artists, their families, and the community on April 14, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Menomonee Falls Public Library. We hope everyone can stop by the library and help recognize the talent of the youth in our community, whose work will be on display

MFHS March Optimist Students

Congratulations to Noah Bichler and Anna Feldt for being recognized as March's Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls Students of the Month! Noah was nominated by Ms. Hanley for his commitment, passion, and participation in the Dual Enrollment Academy at WCTC - Waukesha County Technical College, as well as the completion of his National Registered EMT exam. Anna was nominated by Ms. Berger for displaying excellent leadership skills as a student leader in two classrooms, through her kindness and outgoing personality to all, and her hard work at her new job at a local daycare. Way to go!

Historic Oriental Theater Field Trip

Novel and Film students visited the Oriental Theater this week to get a private screening of Interstellar and a tour of the historic theater.

Pi Day Contest Winners

This year's Pi Day contest was exciting and challenging - we had almost 50 students participate this year!

Congratulations to the top 3 winners: Aiyana Lares-Henderson with 100 digits of Pi memorized, Samuel Afamenfuna with 80 digits memorized and Ella Wagoner with 75 digits memorized.



The winners enjoyed prizes donated by Toppers Pizza and Crumbl Cookies!

Congratulations to MFHS Senior Ethan Vanden Boom who received the Hobey Baker High School Character Award at the hockey banquet this weekend. The award recognizes Senior athletes who embody coachability, strength of character, integrity, commitment, teamwork, community building, and outstanding sportsmanship!

Math Meet Winners

Congratulations to our JV team for taking 2nd place at the Math Meet yesterday! Members include: Mukundan Duraisamy, Liliana Heuss, Gabe Herrmann, Kylee Schellhaas, and Jaron Debraal. Also a big congratulations to Alex Grant for taking 5th place individually on Varsity and Gabe Herrmann for taking 4th place individually on JV.

MFHS Career Day



Career Day was March 11th at MFHS! Students learned about careers spanning from Aviation to Cosmetology to Financial Planning and everything in between. Thank you to all of our Career Presenters who came in to share their career paths with our students today!

MFHS National German Honor Society

On February 10, 15 new members were inducted into the MFHS National German Honor Society! All are outstanding students, both individually and academically, in German 3, 4, and 5. During the ceremony, students vowed to promote friendship, understanding, and unity in our classroom, school, and world, as well as to promote the German language and culture. Thanks to our emcees for the ceremony, Katie Stein and Sean Voss from the German 5 CAPP class. Please join us in welcoming our newest members!

Marshmallow Towers in Business Ventures

In Business Ventures, students applied their knowledge of the three major types of business ownership to the Marshmallow Tower Challenge. Groups were randomly assigned as sole proprietorships, partnerships, or a corporation, and had to complete the required paperwork before receiving materials to build. The problem – only 20 minutes to complete the paperwork AND build their structures! The corporation faced the most hoops, with decisions moving from a vote by the board of directors, to the CEO, and then the two assigned builders to follow a true chain of command.

First place went to the partnership of Gabe Herrmann and Ayden Blandon (Marsh Molding) with a 15-inch tower, followed by Layla Lapp’s sole proprietorship (Mush Marsh Buildings) at 13 inches. Learning business structure while building something sweet!

Business Advisory Council Meeting

Students from the Business Academy joined the MFHS & North Middle School Business Departments in hosting the annual Business Advisory Council meeting. This event is an opportunity for local business leaders to provide input on curriculum and build partnerships for job shadows, field trips, and guest speakers! At this event, students shared their experiences in the Business Academy and were able to network with business professionals. We are so grateful for strong community connections!

Puerto Rican Carnaval Masks

Students in Spanish 5 learned about Carnaval and the artwork associated with it. Students made Puerto Rican Carnaval masks or “alfombras” to celebrate Easter.
