Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to share our news regarding our performance on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) State Report Card. The results confirm that our commitment to continuous improvement is yielding success for our students.

Over the past three years, Menomonee Falls High School has demonstrated consistent and significant improvement on the DPI Report Card. We have maintained our rating of "Exceeds Expectations" and have successfully increased our overall score year over year, moving from 77.8 in 2022-23 to a score of 82.7 in the most recent 2024-25 report card. The 2024-25 score places us in the top 6% of Wisconsin high schools. This positive trend reflects the dedication of our students, the expertise of our staff, and the strong partnership with you, our families.

Perhaps the most compelling evidence of our momentum is our ranking in the key area of growth. Growth measures how much student knowledge has increased from one year to the next. We are incredibly proud to announce that Menomonee Falls High School achieved the 9th highest growth rate out of 361 high schools across the state last year.

This ranking places MFHS in the top 3% of all Wisconsin high schools for student academic growth, underscoring our effective instructional strategies and the personalization of learning that ensures every student is challenged and supported to reach their full potential.

While we celebrate this exceptional academic data, we want to emphasize that MFHS is defined by more than test scores alone. Our extensive portfolio of clubs, activities, and athletics provides critical opportunities for leadership development, teamwork, creative expression, and building lasting community bonds. These co-curricular programs complement our academics, ensuring our students graduate as well-rounded, capable individuals prepared for success in all aspects of life.

Sophomore Class: Bread and Seasoning Fundraiser

The Sophomore Class is continuing their fundraiser — and it’s a delicious one! You can order seasoning packets to make tasty dips and fresh bread mixes that are perfect for the holiday season. 🥖✨

What makes this even more meaningful is that 50% of the profits will go directly toward purchasing Christmas gifts for children in our community who may not otherwise receive them (Giving Tree). ❤️

MFHS Optimist Students of the Month

Congratulations to Madeline Dunne and Sawyer Klatt for being recognized as November's Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls Students of the Month! Madeline was nominated by Ms. Moore for her outstanding character and consistently exceptional academic contributions in her English class. Richmond nominated Sawyer for being an outstanding student leader and a tremendous resource for his peers for writing and grammar help. Great job!

Junior Class Donation to Falls Area Food Pantry

Menomonee Falls High School Junior class made a HUGE $1,280 donation to the Falls Area Food Pantry from their fundraising efforts.

As the holiday season approaches, the pantry relies on community support to provide for local families.

NATS Finalist: Gigi Carlino

Gigi Carlino, a senior at MFHS, was a soprano vocal soloist and award-winning finalist in the NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) competition at UW-Whitewater on November 8.

Gigi’s performed three different Music Theater pieces at UWW Greenhill Center for the Arts, for the preliminary and semi-final auditions. Her repertoire included “How Will I Know” by Yeston, “Only Love” by Wildhorn/Knighton, and “Popular” by Schwartz.

Gigi was selected as one of three finalists from an original group of 22. She and two other talented musicians received certificate and monetary awards after their third and final performances on stage in Light Recital Hall. Congratulations, Gigi!

Computer Science Students at UW-Madison

Computer Science students visited Epic Systems and the UW-Madison School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences last week. Epic Systems' campus was an eye-opener for the kids as they saw all of the computer science jobs that go into making a company like Epic run. Epic is known for the MyChart software. UW-Madison just opened a new building for their CDIS Department and students were able to get a first hand look into what it takes to be a Badger!

MFHS Global Scholar Students

MFHS Global Scholar students hosted games and snacks for our visiting international students during Phoenix Time last week. What a great way for students to connect and get to know each other!

Microsoft Excel Certified Students

Congrats to the new group of Microsoft Excel Certified students in Info Tech! These students, 36 to be exact, passed the certification exam and powered up their resumes while also earning college credit. Pictured are students from Info Tech Period 5.

Outdoor Adventure Learning SCUBA

This week, Ms. Walby's Outdoor Adventure class had an incredible opportunity to learn from the SCUBA instructors from Underwater Connection in Menomonee Falls! Instructors taught students the basics of diving and underwater safety. Hands-on learning at its best!

German 2 Feast!

German 2s had a Spaghettieis (spaghetti ice cream) party to celebrate their very successful quiz that they recently took. Spaghettieis is a German cultural tradition and is made by putting vanilla ice cream through a potato press to make spaghetti-like ice cream. Toppings are added, such as strawberries and strawberry sauce that look like marinara and white chocolate that looks like grated parmesan cheese! Guten Appetit!
