Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Six weeks into the academic year, we are excited to announce a significant expansion of our in-class support strategies designed to drive student success and educational growth.

During last Friday's professional development day, our core subject teachers (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies) conducted a comprehensive analysis of current student performance data. As a direct result of this review, we are implementing a proactive, school-wide intervention.

All 9th and 10th-grade students currently earning a D or F in any course will be strategically scheduled into dedicated support sessions during Phoenix Time. This intensive, three-week intervention period begins the week of October 27th. This does not mean that our 11th and 12th-grade students will not be assigned. Teachers at MFHS will continue to bring students into their Phoenix Time as appropriate. 

We are confident in this expanded approach, building on the success of last year's pilot in our math departments, where 60% of participating students successfully raised their grade to a C or higher.

Parental engagement is a critical component of student achievement. We strongly encourage you to continue monitoring your child's progress regularly and initiating conversations about their performance. Parent Seminar: Navigating Empty Nesting

Menomonee Falls High School parents are invited to attend a Navigating Empty Nesting Seminar. Hosted by Ellenbecker Investment Group, the session highlights the financial impact and emotional changes parents experience when their children leave home.

MFHS Optimist Students of the Month

Congratulations to Shiven Gupta and Sreehari Ragunath for being recognized as October's Optimist Club of Menomonee Falls Students of the Month! Shiven and Sreehari were nominated by Mrs. Larson for their extraordinary accomplishments during math meets last year; both students placed individually at all JV meets. Great job!

MFHS Math Meet Success!

MFHS attended a Math Meet last week at Arrowhead against area schools and our Varsity #1 team took 2nd place out of 20 teams! Team members include: Alex Grant, Scott Casper, Miles Seder, Sanvrit Mohanty, Gavin Loucks, Sahi Vadheraju, Pranav Suresh and Rob Kessler.

We also had 5 students place individually at the meet! They are: Alex Grant - 2nd place; Scott Casper - 5th place; Gavin Loucks - 5th place; Miles Seder - 5th place; Sahi Vadheraju - 5th place.

Business Academy EPIC Field Trip

Business Academy sophomores toured EPIC (medical software) headquarters in Verona and learned about their operations. Students then visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison to learn about the admissions process, the School of Business, and to tour the campus.

BMX No Hate Tour Assembly

We welcomed the BMX No Hate Tour to our gym for an assembly full of fun and flips! We discussed anti-bullying and watched some impressive tricks as well.
