MGA Film Clips!
We are constantly recording our activities here at the MGA Academy of Performing Arts!  It's nice to have a lasting memory of our work as performance work is 'of the moment'.  This way we can savour both the process and remember our exceptional achievements with more clarity!
It is also, more often than not, completely hysterical!
You can view all our clips at our very own YOU TUBE page but we have included a selection below for you to click, watch and enjoy!

CLIP 1 - Our Full-Time Musical Theatre Students presented their annual Dance Showcase at the world famous Usher Hall in Edinburgh a few months ago.  Next April will see them joined by our new Full-Time Dance students.  It just keeps getting better!

CLIP 2 - We especially wanted to share this one with you.  There are not many students out there lucky enough to have an International Airport close off a section of their runway and a leading Airline loan them a plane for the day to film a promo for their upcoming Dance Production.  In the history of MGA, this has to go down as one of the funniest days of all.  Huge thanks go to Thomson Airlines and Edinburgh Airport!  What a day, what an experience for our students and what a laugh we all had!

CLIP 3 - The leading ladies of our latest production, Flashdance, had their frst hair design appointment to prepare them for taking to the stage at the Festival Theatre in June.  This was one of the first steps towards the amazing 5* Production that was enjoyed by audiences last month.

Greetings!

As the summer continues, it gives me a huge amount of pleasure to put this Newsletter together for you all to read and share.

We continue to develop The MGA Academy of Performing Arts at a pace that both ensures the exceptional quality of our training programmes is never compromised but that also ensures that we are always the leading lights here in Scotland when it comes to cutting-edge opportunities for the professional performers of the future.

As we continue to develop our training programmes, increase our portfolio of Full-Time and Part-Time courses and continue to attract attention from industry professionals from across the globe, our aim of becoming the largest, most prestigious and most successful independent Performing Arts Academy in Scotland is not far away from realisation.

I continue to be exceptionally proud of our work here at The MGA Academy and I remain in awe of our faculty of staff, student body and those professionals who regularly visit us to support our training programmes.  Our list of world-class tutors unique to MGA continues to grow, as does our student body.

I have to say that my greatest enjoyment comes from the almost daily updates I am receiving from our graduates who are currently working worldwide from The West End of London to Universal Studios in the USA and Japan and then all the way down to Sydney, Australia.

Each day I hear of more and more of them realising their dreams of performing professionally.

I sincerely hope that you enjoy reading about our latest developments, achievements and upcoming projects.  I know that we have only just uncovered the tip of the MGA Iceberg and our greatest achievements and successes lie ahead and should you wish to join us on our journey, all you need to do is pick up the phone.  The more the merrier!

Don't forget that the very best way for you to keep up to date with all our projects is through our Facebook Page.  If you have not done so already - join us in the land of Social Media!

HND In Dance Success!

With our graduates from our Musical Theatre courses currently working in The West End and across the globe, our incredible success rate of placing our students directly onto the professional stage upon completion of our courses and our world leading faculty of professional tutors, it is no surprise that the launch of our new HND in Dance has been such a success this year.

We are still accepting applications for the few remaining places on the HND in Dance 3-year course and you can download an application form HERE!

Entry onto each course is by audition only (details provided after application) and applicants should be aged 16 years or over.

New Head of Dance Announced
As our Academy grows, so does our list of world class tutors.
Seney Taormina will be leaving London and moving to Edinburgh to work with us here at MGA by taking over the role of Head of Dance for both the HND in Musical Theatre and our new HND in Dance.
Senay hails all the way from Adelaide, Australia but has spent over 11 years working professionally in the dance industry here in the UK and across the globe. She trained professionally in Australia and completed her studies at Laine Theatre Arts, UK.

Graduate Successes...
We have an outstanding record of placing our graduates into professional work as soon as they graduate our Full-Time courses.

95% of our 2013 Graduates have already been employed as PERFORMERS across the globe.

Our training has been developed over the years with one objective in mind at all times.  We must be preparing our students to make a success of a professional performing arts career.
If a student's main ambitions lie anywhere other than the professional stage - we are not the right school for them.
The MGA Academy nurtures the talent, determination and the competitive nature that is required within each professional Dancer, Singer, Actor or Musical Theatre performer and provides them with world-class opportunities to succeed upon graduation, and succeed they do!

Spread the word...
We truly believe that any young person who shows an interest and the ability to make a success of a professional Performing Arts career should be encouraged to do so regardless of their social or economic circumstances.

With students attending our courses from all over the world we are a truly international centre for the Performing Arts.  We are a privately funded, independent Scottish Qualifications Authority Recognised Centre

We are also approved by the Students Awards Agency for Scotland and the Education Maintenance Allowance Scheme which opens up much needed funding for our full-time students.

We also run our own MGA Scholarship Scheme allowing even those who thought it would never be possible, to pursue their dream career through world class training here at The MGA Academy.

Help us to help our students realise their full potential.
