This story (linked below) was published on August 4, 2023, by The New York Times. I can easily see how it may have gotten missed by the daily grind of harvest and everyday living. The fourth paragraph was well written, “remote and vast, this part of Montana (Hi-Line) is a place where rows of golden wheat fields recede into endless horizons, where a long two-lane highway is colored by grain elevators…” For me, raised on a dry land farm, much of what this author writes sings true to the heart but also depicts places and people of our truly great state.
