Educate yourself on the Park District's Non-Binding Referendum
The Frankfort Park District has the opportunity to purchase a valuable parcel of land (the Borg-Warner plant, 300 S. Maple) for future recreational use for the community.
On Tuesday, April 6, the Frankfort Park District is asking voters, in a non-binding referendum, if it should acquire and improve the site of the Borg-Warner Plant for the purpose of developing, improving, and operating an indoor recreational space and outdoor athletic facilities and finance the purchase and renovation of the project by issuing bonds that will result in a property tax increase? The referendum question is a non-binding (advisory) ballot question.

Phillips Chevrolet Won the 2021 DealerRater Chevrolet Dealer of the Year Award, which recognizes auto dealerships across the U.S. and Canada who deliver outstanding customer service, based on consumer reviews written on DealerRater.com. This award is presented to the dealership that has earned their highest ratings among approximately 3,000 Chevy dealers in the United States.
“Car buyers have spoken and have identified Phillips Chevrolet as the best Chevrolet dealer to do business with in United States,” said DealerRater General Manager Jamie Oldershaw. “The quality and number of reviews for Phillips Chevrolet speak volumes of the top-notch experiences they provide to customers.”
The DealerRater Dealer of the Year Awards are based on reviews by new- and used-car shoppers and those who took their vehicles into dealerships for service. Taking us from the slave era, when white women fought in court to keep "ownership" of their slaves, through the centuries of colonialism, when they offered a soft face for brutal tactics, to the modern workplace, this book tells a charged story of white women's active participation in campaigns of oppression and how we can work to end it. Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk.
