A great day was had by the 29 people who registered for the John B Steel Championship this year at Clear Lake Golf Course. I don’t think you could have asked for a better day.

A big thanks goes out to Host Superintendent Craig Atkinson and his staff who had the course in amazing condition for our event, as well as Head Professional Matt Nylen and the rest of the Clear Lake staff for making the day truly a great experience.

This year’s winners of each category, winning $1000.00 to go towards attendance at the CGSA Fall Field Day which will be held at Riverside Country Club in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by Host Superintendent Doug Campbell, AGS were;

• John B Steel Champion – Jordan Joye , Oak Island Golf Course
• Assistant Champion – Kyle Queijo, Glendale Golf and Country Club
• Industry Champion – Andrew Hunt, Bayco Golf
• Low Gross – Tie between Colton Davies, Lakeview Hecla Resort and Des Koop, Oak Island Golf Course

Closest to the Pin winners were Colton Davies, Eric Benson and Darren Kalyniuk
